In honor of one of our elders, the late Robert L. Jordan, each year we seek to help a faithful family in their time of need. This entire weekend will be dedicated to raising funds to assist Sis. Elizabeth Keys. Sister Elizabeth Keys has served the Midwest and Newburg congregations in the Louisville area for many years. Throughout her years of dedicated service as an administrative assistant, a bible schoolteacher and youth director, she has mentored and nurtured the youth through song and various youth programs. She has made a lasting impact on countless young people, many of whom are now faithfully serving in congregations throughout the brotherhood. Sister Keys has endured significant health issues, including two cancer-related nephrectomy surgeries. She continues to live with the daily effects of anti-MAG neuropathy and chronic spinal stenosis. A monetary contribution on Sister Keys’ behalf would help offset her medical expenses and provide much-needed financial relief as she continues to face these ongoing health challenges.
It is our prayer that our brothers and sisters in Christ will share in our efforts to lighten her load. Midwest has committed to contributing at least the first $1,000. We are asking each congregation to do whatever you can to help in this act of love. We are asking that all funds be in by November 2nd. You can contribute by utilizing one of the following methods:
- Check: Send a check payable to the Midwest church of Christ to P.O. Box 11148 Louisville, KY 40251 with memo Betty Benefit
